About Finn’s Bodyworks
Finn’s Bodyworks was first established by Brian Finn in 1978 and is now proudly owned and operated by his son, Gene who began managing the business in 2000. With a combined staff experience of 80 years, Finn’s Bodyworks is a well respected Launceston panel shop that is known for quality workmanship and friendly service. All staff are fully qualified panel and paint technicians.
Throughout the years we have consistently and enthusiastically trained apprentices, earning a reputation of supplying quality tradesmen to the industry, and in doing so giving young Tasmanians employment. We currently have two Apprentice of the Year employees on staff for the whole state of Tasmania.
Many of our first customers from the late 1970’s are still valued customers and we have established strong community ties and a loyal and supportive local customer base. We are one of the longest running panel shops in Launceston and our state of the art equipment continually surpasses industry standards.
We specialise in motor vehicle body repairs and refinishing to all makes and models. At Finn’s Bodyworks, we do all repairs from small dents and scrapes to chassis work and major panel replacement. We have refinished many varied things over the years ranging from Rolls Royces to fibreglass cows! At Finn’s Bodyworks we provide obligation free quotes and will pick up and deliver in the Launceston area. We love finding the right solution for every situation, and are not deterred by a little challenge!
Environmentally friendly smash repairs
Almost everything we do at Finn’s Bodyworks is given environmental consideration. We are very aware of our role as a business in the Tamar Valley. As such we use water based PPG Envirobase colour with our primers and clears and use state of the art high solids technology to reduce solvent emissions.
All solvents used for cleaning purposes are recycled by a local company. Our steel, aluminium, air conditioning gasses, cardboard and even plastics are all recycled as well. We have several initiatives currently in progress – one being the recycling of rainwater to wash vehicles.
We are very proud to have been awarded Green Stamp Level 2 Accreditation for our ongoing commitment to lowering energy consumption, recycling and emission reduction initiatives.
